The Barakat Holding Group is a fourth generation Family owned business established in Jerusalem by the late Ali Abdel Ghani Barakat in the year 1901, back then the merchant Family businesses were primarily focused on ancient artefact, textile, carpet trading, and land banking.
The Family’s long history as merchants was realized by building one of the first Bazaar Markets in the Old City of Jerusalem, which is still operational till this day.
Staying true to its values while striving to support and regulate the trade and industry sector, the Family co-founded The Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jerusalem in 1936, the Family held the Chamber’s Presidency and Board for over 62 years.
Today over a century later the privately owned Family office is a devoted Philanthropist, an Investor with Non-Operational interest in Energy, Art, Real Estate, Agriculture, Media and Construction across the globe.
